These pics are not the greatest. Since this was the first sunny day that we had, it was only natural that my camera would break, arg! These pics are captured off of my video camera making them of not the greatest quality.
This is of our drive up Whistler Mountain. What's a trip to Canada without cold Kokanee and Ketchup Potato Chips?! The drive up the mountain was beautiful. It took us past a huge old Copper Mine. We stopped in Squamish and hubby decided that it was a place where we could live.....had cold beer and mountains for snowmachining!
Once arriving at Whistler, you can see that it is like a world of it's own, neat looking buildings that were designed to have the same theme pretty much, giving it an amazing look. The stores on the main floors tied in nicely with the hotels and such on the floors above them. And I have never seen so many ski slopes in one area!
It was tough to get photos of the slopes since the mountains were socked in. It started to lift just as we were leaving. But believe me, there were slopes everywhere! Whistler got 32cm of snow the night before.
I captured a photo of Furry on the drive back. The bartender at the Pub we stopped in at Whistler told us that part of Happy Gilmore was filmed here at their golf course. The last pic is of the side of a building when nearing back to Vancouver. The mural painted on the side is awesome! Back to the tall buildings and busy traffic.
